| A yuppie no more |
|
My wife and I married and worked in NYC. We were yuppies. We were DINCs. We wanted a family. Two miscarriages and nearly five years later, our daughter was born. She was born through the science and art that is in vitro fertilization. If not for the physicians, the scientists, and the men and women who work within the pharmaceutical industry, I would not have my beautiful daughter. THANK YOU! Her story doesn't stop there. In the past year my daughter had to see an endocrinologist for her unprecedented weight gain, got eyeglasses, needed braces, and was diagnosed with dyslexia, then ADHD. She's seven years old. She inspires me every day. She works in an IEP program at school, sees a tutor two mornings a week, and uses the computer to help her reading and math skills. She loves to work out with her Mom and me, and she now sets her diet. She loves to sing and dance and she plays softball and basketball. Her mother and grandmother are teaching her to sew. She's now at her grade level for reading and math, and she excels in science and history. She's a GREAT kid! Thank you Organon for helping bring her into the world. Thank you Johnson & Johnson for helping her to concentrate. And, thank you my dear wife for making sure we never let her forget how special she is. |
