Karen Langenberg - VP, Health Care Professional Marketing InsightsKaren’s passion lies in combining science with commercial success. Recently, her work has focused on converting brand awareness to behavior change, ultimately improving patient care and building brand success for clients in several categories, including anti-infective, cardiovascular, dermatology, gastroenterology, and ophthalmology. Karen’s 22-year career on the client side includes many “firsts” and breakthrough marketing initiatives in the prescription arena—commercializing the first medical treatment for macular degeneration (Macugen®), a top-10 biotechnology launch, and launching Merck’s first successful large-scale DTC campaign (Zocor® for high cholesterol). Karen has worked across many therapeutic areas and health care and media channels in the United States and internationally.
